The Charity is a Trust set up by the Charity Commissioners in 1977 to provide grants of money to young people and educational organisations in the locality. The capital for the fund came from the proceeds of the sale of the Eye Grammar School building.
The Trustees meet quarterly to consider applications and grants. Applications must come from individuals or organisations serving people under 25 who live in the parishes of Eye, Athelington, Bedfield or Horham. The special grants are intended to cover expenses not provided by the local education authority. These might include the cost of purchasing books, clothing, tools and instruments, course fees for educational purposes or in preparation to enter a trade or occupation.

Home Farm, Bedfield, Woodbridge IP13 7EE The Club have recently completed two new developments with the installation of a new two lane net facility and an Electronic Scoreboard. These were partly funded with the assistance from local County Councillors Eddy Alcock and John McGregor, as well as the County Council regeneration Fund, MSDC and Suffolk Environmental Trust and continue the progress made by the Club since moving to their new ground in Bedfield. With teams currently playing in the Suffolk Premier League, MSC Alliance Sections A & D, in all three age groups in the North Suffolk Youth League, a full programme of friendly matches and a fledgling ladies team, we hope the new facilities will be well used. We especially hope that it will enable more juniors to be coached at the regular training sessions.
Club Captain Chris Watson aid "our objective is to provide good facilities and an opportunity for players of all ages and abilities to play and enjoy cricket in this corner of Suffolk".
The ground is accessible for use by all and has practice net facilities which are open for anyone to use without the need for pre-booking at any time that they are not in use by Club members. There is also a Petanque Court which is similarly available.
